Functions passing source locations whose file contains a pattern (and optionally at one line).

Extracts core::panic::Location structs from .rodata even after strip --strip-all, linking stripped functions back to exact file:line:col anchors.

xref where [OPTIONS] <PATTERN>

Reading the output

One line per function that passes a panic location in a matching file: the function range and every file:line it passes. The last line counts locations and references.
--line N keeps only locations on that line.

Limits

A function appears only if code compiled from that file can panic there; inlining can place a file's locations in a caller from another file.

Provenance

Recorded with a development build of xref after 0.4.0 on Linux x86-64, on xref.stripped = a stripped xref build (the binary of the home-page examples). Output is unchanged except that whitespace at the end of each line and empty lines at the end of the output are removed; long outputs are cut where marked.
